37th AMERICA’S CUP OFFICIAL HOSPITALITY OFF TO A BREEZY START

Organisers of this year’s Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup reported a very brisk start to official hospitality sales this week with guests responding keenly to the chance to enjoy spectacular views from a purpose-built three-storey structure over the shoreline in Barcelona, Spain, which will become the centre of the sailing world from late August onwards.

The 'House of AC37’ Official Hospitality Programme overlooks Port Olímpic, adjacent to the Youth and Women’s AC40 team bases, and has a commanding viewpoint of the main course area just off the beachfront where more than thirty race days are due to take place. The racing area is just a few hundred metres from the shore, with start and finish lines directly opposite the Port Olímpic venue. The beaches surrounding the race facilities will be open to the public at no charge and host two fanzones.

“You can imagine how busy the Barcelona shoreline is going to be so the ’House of AC37’ will be the one-stop shop for anyone wanting to enjoy the official ticketed America’s Cup experience in style and comfort and from a most exclusive vantage point,’ said Grant Dalton, CEO of America’s Cup. ‘We’re delighted at the overall concept, which gives a special emphasis on championing local gastronomy while offering expert sailing commentary throughout the raceday and interactive support and encouragement to those who might be new to the sport.’

The 'House of AC37' will operate through each raceday of the Louis Vuitton Cup, starting with the Preliminary regatta from August 22, the Louis Vuitton Cup, which starts on August 29, the UniCredit Youth America’s Cup [commencing September 17], the inaugural Puig Women’s America’s Cup [October 5] as well as the Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup which is scheduled to take place between October 12 and 27.
