Whether you are a complete horse racing novice or a seasoned attendee, this event is set to be entertaining and thrilling for racegoers of all ages. Ascot racecourse is renowned for being one of the most prestigious racecourses in the world. Ascot invite thousands of avid spectators all year round to enjoy flat and national hunt racing, and of course hosts the famous and unmissable Royal Ascot.
The Howden Christmas Racing Weekend is unlike the others, there is entertainment for all the family. The little ones will be kept entertained with festive arts and crafts, face painting and bubble magicians. Alongside entertainment for the children, there will be a cast of equine talent of the highest quality galloping over the Grade 1 Marsh Hurdles, making it one of Britain’s most prestigious long-distance hurdle races.
The action on the track is electric with six Jump races on both days. The Friday features a pair of quality Grade 2 races, whilst the Saturday sees Ascot's most valuable Jumps race - the Grade 1 Marsh Hurdle (registered as The Long Walk Hurdle).

The traditional fairground rides and candle-lit carol singing with the Ascot Brass Band remain firmly part of the weekend’s entertainment. The secret is out… Father Christmas and his reindeer will be in attendance, and Mrs Christmas will also make a return for her much-loved story telling by the fire.

Ascot racecourse is just a seven minute walk from the local train station which is served by South Western Railway, with a regular service to and from central London (52 mins), Guildford and Reading (27 mins). With plenty of on site parking and close to the major motorways M3, M4, M25 and the M40, Ascot racecourse is accessible for many transport options; even by helicopter with a landing facility close by. Ascot welcomes guests from all over to join them in enjoying unmissable racing, top-quality entertainment, and exquisite hospitality.
